Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger operations, financial close activities, and accounting controls within a complex, regulated business environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while leading a team of accounting professionals and driving process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet governance
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Support external reporting, audit activities, and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Partner with finance, technology, and operational teams to support business objectives and reporting needs
• Develop, coach, and mentor accounting team members
• Drive process improvements, automation efforts, and standardization across accounting functions
• Monitor and strengthen internal controls and risk management processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting and/or finance experience
• Knowledge of internal controls, compliance requirements, and financial reporting processes
• Experience leading month-end close and general ledger activities preferred
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• ERP system experience preferred
