Senior IP Trademark Docket Specialist Join Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a global law firm, as a Senior IP Trademark Docket Specialist. In this role you will maintain the firm’s trademark computerized docket system, support attorneys and staff, and act in a leadership capacity for the docketing team across multiple U.S. offices. Key Responsibilities Act in a leadership role with the docketing team, ensuring performance aligns with firm and practice group expectations. Maintain docket due dates and remarks in the firm’s trademark computerized docket system, including U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) communications and filings. Adapt to specific docketing procedures for clients while ensuring firm policies and risk‑management requirements are met. Process incoming electronic communications pursuant to departmental procedures. Conduct quality checks on work performed by docket clerks and specialists as needed. Program, run, and deliver docket reports to attorneys and legal staff. Monitor daily dockets and provide call‑up services to attorneys and other trademark team members to clear final dates. Generate new trademark matter number request reports and forward them to the new business department. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High‑school diploma; 5‑7 years of trademark docketing experience, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred experience in Central Product Index (CPI). Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong proofreading abilities, and exceptional attention to detail. Strong time‑management and organizational skills. Self‑starter with a professional demeanor who works independently with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, iManage, and ability to adapt to new software programs. Hybrid in‑office/remote work schedule. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary ranges by city (USD): San Francisco / Silicon Valley: $95,160 – $152,198 New York & Orange County: $91,500 – $146,325 Chicago: $84,200 – $134,600 Washington D.C. & Seattle: $87,800 – $140,450 Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical coverage, health‑care and dependent‑care reimbursement accounts, domestic‑partner coverage, parental leave, paid vacation and holiday leave, life and accident insurance, and income protection.
