Accounting Assistant

Eastridge is looking for an Accounting Assistant for a temporary job in Foothill Ranch, CA. The Accounting Assistant provides essential transactional and administrative support to the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. This role supports accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciliations, financial reporting assistance, and audit preparation, operating under established procedures and supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Support: Process vendor invoices, payment requests, and employee reimbursements. Record customer payments and assist with collections and vendor inquiries.
• Data Entry, Records and Reconciliations: Enter financial transactions accurately into accounting systems. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and research discrepancies. Maintain organized electronic and physical financial records.
• Reporting and Close Support: Assist with preparation of financial reports, schedules, and summaries. Compile documentation to support audits and month-end and year-end close activities.
• Administrative and Team Support: Provide general administrative support to accountants and finance leadership. Support continuous improvement of accounting workflows and documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP/AR, or related administrative experience required.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform prolonged periods of computer-based work.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work onsite.
