Job Description

Exciting contract opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in multiple middle school and elementary center-based programs for the 2026-2027 school year. These roles focus on delivering specialized behavioral and instructional support, collaborating with a vibrant team of professionals, and making a meaningful impact in students’ educational journeys.

We are seeking seven committed educators ready to work onsite in resource and specialized classroom settings. Strong behavior intervention skills and a passion for supporting students with a variety of educational needs—especially those with emotional or behavioral disorders—are essential.

Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota teaching certification in one or more of the following areas:
- Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
- Special Education: Early Childhood
- Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Special Education: Learning Disabilities
- Special Education: Academic & Behavioral Strategist (not required, but accepted)
Expertise in implementing and monitoring behavior intervention plans
Strong classroom management and instructional strategies
Collaboration skills with both special and general education teams
Successful scheduling and supervision of paraprofessionals
Excellent attendance and reliability

Responsibilities:

Teach in middle school resource or elementary center-based (ASD and DCD) programs
Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
Create structured classroom routines and adaptive schedules
Apply evidence-based behavioral and instructional strategies
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including paraprofessionals and general educators
Maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students
