Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms of mood disorders, including their frequency, duration, and severity.

• Collaborate with clients to devise personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals and therapeutic needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address specific mood-related challenges.

• Provide psychoeducation and ongoing support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
\n
• Monitor client progress consistently, documenting changes, and modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Stay abreast of new developments in mood disorder research and therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working to eliminate stigma and improve access to care within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support clients dealing with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will be essential in addressing the complexities that often accompany these conditions, including personal trauma and socio-economic challenges faced by individuals in vulnerable groups, such as refugees and victims of domestic abuse.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
