Derick Mental Health Counseling is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor to become a crucial part of our outpatient team based in Santa Clara, California. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, with the flexibility to conduct sessions from your home office while communicating with clients via secure telehealth platforms. Although the majority of your work will be conducted remotely, you will periodically engage with our outpatient office to collaborate with colleagues and maintain a cohesive team culture. Our work schedule primarily runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, accommodating the unique needs of our clients during this time.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments through video or phone consultations, using evidence-based practices to inform patient-specific treatment plans.

• Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring a high standard of client care.

• Collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate care that enhances treatment efficacy.

• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings, fostering an environment of shared learning and professional growth.

• Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them navigate their mental health journeys and informing them about resources available within the community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active and valid license to practice as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
