Work Environment\n

As a remote Mental Health Counselor, you will have the flexibility to work from your own home while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Our community health clinic model promotes accessibility and reduces barriers to mental health care. You will have access to advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to help manage patient care efficiently. This position gives you the independence to manage your schedule while adhering to set office hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and establish therapeutic goals.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address clients’ specific needs and incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Provide regular therapy sessions, offering both individual and group therapy, and equip clients with practical coping strategies.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, maintaining effective communication throughout.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer clients to other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, as needed for comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate documentation and records of client interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your understanding of cultural competence will be essential in providing inclusive care tailored to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client. You will be responsible for creating a safe and welcoming space that promotes open dialogue and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid California license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
\n
• At least two years of direct experience in mental health counseling or therapy, demonstrating a solid understanding of various psychological disorders.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and an ability to remain composed in challenging therapeutic situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience using evidence-based treatment approaches and cultural competence in delivering therapy.

• Proven track record in conducting both individual and group therapy sessions.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices within community health settings.
\n
• Additional training in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
