Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid‑to‑senior‑level Associate in New York City to join the Patent Prosecution and Litigation Practice Group, focusing on Electrical Engineering and Software. Responsibilities Draft and prosecute patent applications. Engage in patent litigation processes. Collaborate with clients on intellectual property strategies. Conduct legal research and analysis. Requirements 4 to 7 years of IP experience. Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar. Experience with AI/machine learning, software design, semiconductors, and medical devices is a plus. Licensed to practice law or eligible for licensing in the state of employment. Member of the USPTO. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical abilities. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in the state of employment. USPTO registration. Skills Excellent academic credentials. Proficiency in patent drafting and prosecution.
