Work Environment

This role will be primarily onsite, where you will meet patients in their homes across Tampa. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy assistants and case managers, to develop tailored care plans that meet the unique needs of each client. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to establish individualized treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring muscle functionality, and maximizing overall physical performance.
• Directly implement and oversee the rehabilitation process, ensuring adherence to prescribed physical therapy protocols in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Assess and modify home environments to enhance clients' independence, providing constructive recommendations tailored to each situation.
• Administer various treatment techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, traction, and the use of physical agents as part of the rehabilitation process.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust any prosthetic and orthotic devices to meet clients' functional goals, coordinating with physicians for any necessary modifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and innovate care strategies for optimal client outcomes.
• Consult and educate clients and their families about physical therapy processes, therapeutic devices, and other related queries to promote an understanding of their treatment plans.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants in the implementation of care and provide guidance to ensure the highest standard of service delivery.
• Continuously observe, record, and communicate changes in clients' conditions to ensure timely adjustments to their treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve are individuals of various ages requiring physical rehabilitation due to a variety of conditions such as post-surgical recovery, chronic illness, or age-related challenges. Your expertise will not only aid their physical recovery but also enhance their mental and emotional well-being by providing care in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of current PT license in good standing with the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one year of experience is required, preferably in acute care or home care settings.
• Current CPR certification is required to ensure preparedness in emergency situations.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate travel to patients' homes.
• Creative problem-solving skills, sound decision-making abilities, and a strong commitment to clinical excellence and ethical practice.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in home health care settings is highly desirable, providing familiarity with the unique challenges and rewards of delivering care in clients' homes.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with physical therapy assistants is a plus, showcasing your ability to lead and guide a team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
