Work Environment

The working environment at Healing Touch Physical Therapy is dynamic and patient-focused. Located in Charlottesville, our rehabilitation facility provides a comfortable and welcoming space for both patients and staff. Our clinic operates on an on-site basis, offering direct interaction with patients to ensure personalized care. You will work alongside a team of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), sharing resources and knowledge to enhance patient treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and fulfill each patient's unique objectives and rehabilitation needs through thorough evaluations.
• Maintain a patient load of one hour per individual, ensuring high-quality attention to every case.
• Design, implement, and adjust comprehensive treatment plans tailored to diverse patient needs using a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy.
• Document the progression and outcomes of therapies provided, maintaining detailed records of patient treatments in our EMR system, like WebPT.
• Encourage patient engagement by developing specific exercise and wellness programs aimed at increasing strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Promote non-surgical interventions and educate patients on minimizing reliance on medication for pain management.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and recovery.
• Motivate and inspire patients, helping them navigate through treatment challenges while celebrating their successes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele encompasses a broad spectrum of patients with various musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, and athletic injuries. We focus on providing care that promotes not only recovery but also overall wellness and education. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions on your professional license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to implement effective exercise regimes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

Our organization offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
