Senior Safety Manager

A leading specialty manufacturing organization is looking to add a Senior Safety Manager to support its operations based in Montvale, New Jersey . This person will be tasked with elevating safety performance across multiple industrial sites while strengthening a proactive, zero-incident culture. The role offers the opportunity to influence safety strategy at a corporate level while partnering closely with plant leadership and EHS teams. It is a strong fit for a hands-on safety leader who enjoys travel, complexity, and driving continuous improvement.

The Role

• Drive operational safety excellence across multiple manufacturing facilities, with emphasis on high‑risk operations and process safety.
• Support deployment and integration of corporate safety standards, programs, and critical risk frameworks at the site level.
• Coach and train plant leaders, supervisors, and EHS teams to strengthen safety culture, leadership behaviors, and frontline engagement.
• Lead or support safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner cross‑functionally to embed safety into daily operations and long‑term operational decision‑making.

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in EHS, engineering, or a related scientific discipline, with advanced credentials or certifications.
• 8–10+ years of occupational safety experience in industrial or manufacturing environments; chemical, food, or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, world‑class safety standards, auditing practices, and incident investigation methodologies.
• Proven ability to influence leaders at all levels and manage multiple initiatives across geographically dispersed sites.
• Adaptable, self‑driven safety leader comfortable with extensive travel and change-driven environments.
