Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Days Thursday - Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with 1 travel assignment or 4 years without travel experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ASLS, NIHSS Must-Have: C-section experience required Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical surgical setting. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. There will be opportunities for floating to various departments as needed. The role requires flexibility with changing assignments during the shift. Nurse aides will generally be available in a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10. The expected weekend requirement is every other weekend. A call requirement is in place for low census situations. Holidays will be rotated with permanent staff. Scrubs should be in Caribbean blue. Telemonitoring is available on different units. Ventilator experience includes BIPAP and CPAP, typically used at night. An OB/neonatologist is available in-house. There is no IV team, but a PICC team is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are also available 24/7. Shifts will start at 0645 for 12 hours. Candidates may encounter a variety of common diagnoses and patient types. The position offers a diverse clinical experience across multiple specialties.
