Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic frameworks tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Intervene effectively in crisis situations, ensuring that clients receive immediate support and appropriate follow-up care.

• Conduct thorough developmental evaluations of children, offering recommendations and guidance in collaboration with parents.

• Assess and create treatment plans for patients dealing with challenges such as addiction, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics.

• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care, and educate clients, families, and professionals on therapeutic approaches.

• Provide temperament counseling for parents, fostering effective parenting skills to support child development.

• Deliver training sessions for social workers, attorneys, educators, and other healthcare professionals to enhance community health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with a diverse clientele, ranging from children to adults, who are experiencing various mental health issues. Many clients are navigating significant life transitions, dealing with addiction, or seeking support for trauma and relational challenges. Your expertise in family systems will be pivotal in guiding these individuals and families toward healthier interactions and improved mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.

• An active and appropriate CA License in Marriage Family Therapy is required to practice in the state.

• Demonstrated proficiency in intervention techniques specific to parent-child relationships and high-risk youth.

• Strong foundational knowledge of child development, parenting dynamics, and issues of child abuse or neglect.

• Understanding of basic medical terminology, particularly concerning prenatal substance exposure and its impacts on children.

Compensation and Benefits\n
