Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions, providing compassionate and effective therapeutic interventions to clients, families, and couples.

• Monitor and document patient behaviors, progress, and any changes in status practices in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Collaborate with the treatment team, which includes nurses and other counselors, to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
\n
• Facilitate patient orientations, ensuring patients and their families understand the treatment process, available resources, and their role in the therapeutic journey.
\n
• Help patients with daily personal needs when required, fostering a supportive environment that encourages open communication and trust.
\n
• Advocate for essential services for assigned patients, ensuring their needs are communicated effectively within the healthcare team.
\n
• Maintain organization and time management by prioritizing tasks, completing progress notes at the end of each shift, and demonstrating accuracy in documentation.

• Identify and respond effectively to patient crises, utilizing de-escalation techniques and emergency protocols as needed.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with mental health best practices and diagnostic criteria.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position involves working with a diverse client population, including adults, children, and families. You will be responsible for providing culturally competent care and addressing complex mental health issues through evidence-based practices. Our patients come from various backgrounds, and we emphasize the importance of understanding their unique contexts and challenges to tailor our therapeutic interventions appropriately.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting, demonstrating your ability to provide therapeutic services.

• Profound understanding of the DSM-5 for diagnosis and treatment planning.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish a rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
\n
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team-focused environment.
\n
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience conducting marriage and family therapy services.

• Proficient in working with varied populations and understanding cultural sensitivities in treatment.

• Prior experience in crisis intervention and management techniques.

• Knowledge of best practices in telehealth therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
