Lead AI Quality Engineer (LLM & RAG Evaluation)


Position Description
CGI is seeking a Lead AI Quality Engineer to validate and benchmark Generative AI solutions, with a strong focus on LLM evaluation, RAG pipeline testing, and AI quality assurance. The ideal candidate will design test strategies, build automated validation frameworks, identify hallucinations and failure patterns, and ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance across AI-driven applications.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA preferred but open to Dallas, TX and Cleveland, OH Onsite five days a week
Required Skills


Hands-on experience in LLM evaluation and AI/ML testing
Strong expertise in RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipeline testing (mandatory)
Python and test automation frameworks (PyTest preferred)
SQL and Text-to-SQL validation
ETL/Data Pipeline Testing
Prompt engineering and model behavior testing
Experience with AI evaluation metrics (Accuracy, BLEU, ROUGE, Semantic Similarity, Hallucination Scoring)
Document Intelligence testing (Azure AI Document Intelligence, AWS Textract, Google Document AI)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills


Preferred


Banking/Financial Services experience
Experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI
Familiarity with GenAI application development and deployment
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 $156,700.00.
