Key Responsibilities Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, strengths, and challenges. Utilize your clinical skills to accurately diagnose mental health disorders and co-occurring conditions, contributing to an effective treatment approach. Individual and Group Therapy: Facilitate a variety of therapeutic formats, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions. These interventions will address diverse mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship difficulties, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to clients' unique needs. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on their aspirations and recovery journeys. Continually monitor clients’ progress and adapt treatment strategies as required to foster their healing and well-being. Collaboration and Coordination of Care: Engage with an interdisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Coordinate referrals and connect clients with external resources that resonate with their treatment plans. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain precise documentation that encompasses client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Compliance with ethical standards surrounding patient confidentiality and record-keeping is paramount. Advocacy and Community Engagement: Champion the rights of clients by advocating for improved access to mental health services within the community. Participate actively in outreach efforts and educational initiatives aimed at destigmatizing mental health issues. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, including individuals from varying cultural backgrounds, ages, and circumstances. Our clients often present with complex mental health needs related to substance use disorders, trauma recovery, anxiety, and depression. Therefore, experience in trauma-informed care and culturally competent approaches is highly valued. Qualifications Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required. Licensing: You must have full licensure (LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW) to practice independently without supervision. No limited/provisional licenses or disciplinary actions will be accepted. Proficient in making well-informed professional evaluations and recommendations tailored to treatment plans. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capacity for empathy and active listening. Comfortable and proficient in using technology platforms for counseling and documentation. Preferred Experience Experience in teletherapy is an advantage, as it facilitates effective client interaction in a remote setting. Prior work within substance use treatment or recovery settings is preferred, enhancing your efficacy in addressing client issues. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, or Motivational Interviewing, will contribute positively to your practice.
