Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs and establish relevant treatment goals.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions tailored to meet individual client needs, employing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic modalities.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at addressing shared experiences and psychoeducational workshops that provide clients with tools for coping with mental health challenges.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, regularly reviewing and adjusting them based on client progress and feedback.

• Respond to crisis situations with immediate support, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating emergency interventions as required.

• Participate in professional development activities, including workshops and trainings, to remain informed on best practices and innovations in mental health care.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to provide holistic care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse client population residing in Buffalo, New York, and surrounding areas. Clients come from varied backgrounds and face numerous mental health concerns, including but not limited to chronic stress, PTSD, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders. Your empathetic approach and expertise will help foster a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a mental health counselor in New York State, meeting all state requirements for practice.

• Completion of at least three years of supervised clinical experience in mental health counseling.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including continuing education, to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport quickly with clients and foster trust in therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n
