Key Responsibilities\n

• Group Therapy: You will lead engaging group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that encourage clients to share their experiences openly and to learn from one another, fostering a sense of community and support.

• Individual Therapy: You will provide tailored counseling to individual clients, helping them navigate through their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Your focus will be on developing personalized coping strategies and action plans that empower them to achieve their personal goals.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborating with clients, you will create individualized treatment plans that set realistic and achievable goals tailored to meet their unique needs, ensuring a structured approach to their care.

• Progress Monitoring: You will continuously assess and document clients’ progress utilizing various assessment tools, adapting treatment strategies as necessary based on their evolving needs and feedback.

• Team Collaboration: Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will ensure comprehensive care for clients. Regular communication and case consultations with co-workers will enhance the collaborative effort to promote optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with young adults facing mental health challenges, including mood disorders and anxiety-related issues. Your role is critical in offering a safe, supportive environment where clients feel valued and understood as they embark on their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy.

• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license to practice.

• Proven experience in providing mental health treatment, ideally working with clients in residential or outpatient settings.

• A collaborative spirit with a passion for fostering positive change in clients' lives.

• Strong clinical skills, particularly in motivation interviewing and various therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working with young adults or populations facing mental health challenges in a community health setting can be highly advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documenting therapy sessions and outcomes will also be beneficial, as will any continuing education or specialized training in innovative therapeutic approaches.
