Accounts Payable / Accounting Specialist

Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour (DOE)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73149
Shift: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounting Specialist to join a growing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting inventory tracking, and performing a variety of general accounting functions using QuickBooks.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional, with excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal team members.

Required Experience & Skills
• Previous accounts payable experience required
• Experience using QuickBooks required
• General accounting experience required
• Inventory management or inventory reconciliation experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Friendly, professional, and dependable demeanor
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
• Stable work history with demonstrated job longevity preferred

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Manage vendor accounts and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Maintain and reconcile inventory records
• Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting transactions and financial reporting
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions
• Provide excellent customer service when assisting customers and visitors
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Previous inventory accounting experience
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
• Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and telephone throughout the workday
• Occasional lifting of office supplies or files up to 25 lbs
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and team members

Work Environment
• Professional office environment within a manufacturing or distribution operation
• Fast-paced setting requiring strong organizational and time management skills
• Frequent interaction with vendors, customers, and internal departments
