This role will have interaction with internal and external customers to secure payment of past due receivables and documenting any issues which may be delaying payment. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.Essential FunctionsReconcile AR payments to customer accounts and resolve disputesCommercial collectionsCoordinate and work with the sales team as necessary to collect all monies owedEnforce collection policies and agreed upon payment terms with customersMaintain accurate records and status on collectionsPrepare customer refunds for Accounting Manager's approvalProcess credit card payments.Upload credit card receipts to third party websitePrepare and mail customer statementsParticipate in the review AR aging reportsSpecial projectsOther relative duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education/experienceCurrent and valid US driver's license preferredAt least 1 year of experience in Commercial collectionsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelHigh attention to detail, self-starter and the ability to work independentlyMust be able to multi-task, prioritize and work efficientlyThorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theoryExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredAbility to manage relationships both internally and externally and work as part of a dynamic teamPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
