Role Overview
Apply advanced mathematical knowledge to review, solve, and clearly explain challenging problems, and produce high-quality annotated data and feedback that will help train next-generation AI systems. This is a remote, project-based contractor role where your domain expertise, proof-writing ability, and technical communication will directly shape model learning and evaluation. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Review, evaluate, and generate solutions to advanced problems across pure and applied mathematics.
- Produce detailed, well-structured explanations, formal proofs, and technical analyses of mathematical concepts and problems.
- Assess the accuracy, clarity, and rigor of mathematical outputs created by AI systems, and provide actionable feedback for improvement.
- Create and annotate high-quality, domain-specific datasets to support model training and benchmarking.
- Document technical methodologies and communicate complex ideas clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Collaborate remotely with other subject matter experts across mathematical disciplines while managing individual deliverables independently.
- Required skills: advanced mathematics, mathematical proof writing, technical report writing, data annotation, mathematical problem-solving, clarity in written and verbal communication, reviewing mathematical reasoning, collaborative remote teamwork, translating complex concepts for varied audiences, independent work and self-management.
- Preferred degree: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience authoring research papers, mathematical proofs, or technical reports is strongly preferred.
- Ability to translate advanced mathematical ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with current trends, open problems, or applications in mathematics and related fields is a plus.
- Engagement type: independent contractor, remote.
- Project-based customer engagement, collaborating with a distributed team of experts.
- Work is performed fully remotely, with the expectation of managing your own deliverables and timelines.
- Hourly pay range: $20.00 to $40.00 per hour.
- No prior AI experience required, domain expertise in mathematics is the primary requirement.
- Candidates must be eligible to work as independent contractors under applicable law and tax rules for remote engagements.
