Certified Nurse Assistant - Acute Care (CNA)

Overview: Join a compassionate healthcare team providing direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of registered nurses. This per diem role supports patients with daily living activities, treatment assistance, and maintaining a safe and comfortable nursing unit environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with physical, motor, sensory, cognitive, and psychological needs tailored to the population served, ensuring quality care aligned with age-specific competency standards.
Respond promptly to patient call lights and communicate effectively with staff when assistance is needed.
Support patients with activities of daily living including bathing, positioning, and mobility.
Follow delegation protocols when receiving tasks from team members.
Interpret charts, equipment settings, and medical documentation accurately.
Engage in clear communication with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues both in person and via telephone.
Collect non-invasive specimens and record vital signs.
Assist nursing and medical staff during procedures.
Document patient care using electronic medical records.
Adapt to floating between departments such as Emergency, Obstetrics, Outpatient, and Surgery as needed.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in the state.
Preferred: One or more years of experience in a patient care setting.

Professional Requirements:

Maintain all regulatory certifications and requirements.
Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance.
Exhibit respectful, courteous, and helpful communication with patients, guests, and staff.
Commit to the mission, ethics, and goals of the healthcare organization.
