Certified Nurse Assistant - Acute Care (CNA)

Overview: Join a compassionate healthcare team providing direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of registered nurses. This per diem role supports patients with daily living activities, treatment assistance, and maintaining a safe and comfortable nursing unit environment. Key Responsibilities:
This position is located in a regional healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest. The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and comprehensive benefits.
- Assist patients with physical, motor, sensory, cognitive, and psychological needs tailored to the population served, ensuring quality care aligned with age-specific competency standards.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and communicate effectively with staff when assistance is needed.
- Support patients with activities of daily living including bathing, positioning, and mobility.
- Follow delegation protocols when receiving tasks from team members.
- Interpret charts, equipment settings, and medical documentation accurately.
- Engage in clear communication with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues both in person and via telephone.
- Collect non-invasive specimens and record vital signs.
- Assist nursing and medical staff during procedures.
- Document patient care using electronic medical records.
- Adapt to floating between departments such as Emergency, Obstetrics, Outpatient, and Surgery as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in the state.
- Preferred: One or more years of experience in a patient care setting.
- Maintain all regulatory certifications and requirements.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance.
- Exhibit respectful, courteous, and helpful communication with patients, guests, and staff.
- Commit to the mission, ethics, and goals of the healthcare organization.
