Field Service Technician (3rd Shift On-Site) St. Petersburg, FL (3K Hiring Bonus)

Position Overview We are hiring a 3rd shift on-site field service technician in St. Petersburg, FL. The Field Service Technician will provide support to our customers and deliver all the services and offerings contractually promised by Entrust. The position requires presence at customer sites during the 12:00am–8:00am shift. Responsibilities Perform high quality preventative and emergency maintenance services on Entrust equipment. Diagnose and resolve issues on systems such as mechanical embossers, thermal image application & laminating, magstripe and chip data writing, and ultraviolet curing units. Clean rollers, sensors, cavities and other components; calibrate sensors, read/write devices and application pressure. Evaluate and replace worn parts (servo & stepper motors, spindles, clutches, belts, bearings, etc.) and temperature/proximity/position sensors. Adjust software settings for temperature and hardware positioning as needed. Use repair and service manuals, voltmeters, laptops and hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches) to troubleshoot and service card printer systems. Maintain accurate inventory levels using the ERP platform and follow established service activity reporting and call‑management processes. Respond to service calls via dispatch, drive to customer sites, and interact with customer operations staff. Demonstrate customer‑relation skills and independent problem‑solving to achieve quick resolutions. Assist less‑experienced personnel with difficult repair problems and contribute ideas for process improvement. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum of 2years of electromechanical technician experience. Proficient problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Proficient with PCs, current operating systems and relevant software applications. Ability and willingness to drive to multiple customer sites daily and work flexible hours, shifts, and travel as required. Willingness to be on‑call. Physical ability to lift up to 70lbs and spend the majority of the shift sitting, bending, stooping, walking, etc. Valid and active driver’s license; insurability as applicable. Overtime may be required as needed. Preferred: Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field; additional electromechanical or field service experience; advanced technical education; proficiency in electro‑mechanics, digital electronics and software needed to maintain Entrust and 3rd‑party products. Annual incentive program (bonus). Compensation The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $22.68–$35.65 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
