Project Coordinator – Duke University As the Project Coordinator, you'll support two longitudinal evaluations of innovative interventions designed to improve the health and well‑being of children and their families. You'll work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to advance impactful research that strengthens families and supports early childhood development. Key Initiatives Family Connects – ABC (75%) Implement a collaborative approach combining a brief universal program (Family Connects) to screen and recruit families for an intensive home‑visiting program (Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch‑Up) to evaluate impacts on parental and child functioning. Community Navigation (25%) Conduct a randomized control trial involving 800 Durham County families to assess a universal, light‑touch model that connects pregnant persons and families to matched community resources, evaluating outcomes across child and family well‑being domains. What You'll Do Support impact evaluation for both studies in multiple ways, including planning and conducting research and evaluation activities, drafting protocols, managing IRB and ClinicalTrials.gov protocols, supervising and training staff, scheduling and conducting interviews, and developing documentation for consent, data sharing, and follow‑up contacts. Work Performed Project Collaboration (30%) Collaborate with Project PIs, research staff, and community partners in planning and conducting research. Coordinate and train community‑based personnel responsible for data collection to ensure compliance. Collaborate with statisticians and PIs on data needs, analyses, and reporting plans. Data Collection & Assessments (25%) Organize and conduct data collection, including scheduling visits, obtaining consent, performing interviews, administering standardized assessments, and recording responses. Data Management & Quality Control (15%) Manage, review, and clean project data, identify issues, and recommend corrective action. Develop and train stakeholders on the use of project databases such as REDCap. Assess interviewer fidelity and reliability for in‑home parent‑child interaction tasks. Reporting & Progress Tracking (10%) Draft research protocols, code books, and measures across projects. Develop and implement systems to monitor interview completion progress. Supervision & Training (15%) Supervise project staff and students involved in data collection and entry. Compliance & Protocol Management (5%) Maintain up‑to‑date IRB protocols and submit amendments. Manage ClinicalTrials.gov submissions and amendments. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. What You'll Bring Education Work requires communication and analytical skills normally acquired through a 4‑year college education. Experience Work requires a general knowledge of research methods, procedures, and activities normally acquired through 1 year of social science research experience. Requirements Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Experience in project or administrative supervision. Preference for prior experience on research studies and/or randomized controlled trials. Leadership skills, willingness to take initiative, proactive, independent and team‑oriented. Clear and professional communication with community stakeholders. Local travel required. Availability to work some nights and weekends. Proven ability to engage and build relationships with parents and children. Willingness to collaborate with other staff and remain accessible for communication. Strong organizational skills. Anticipated Pay Range USD $44,766.00 to $71,706.00 annually.
