Step into an engaging school-based Speech-Language Pathologist contract opportunity in the vibrant Sarasota-Bradenton area. This full-time position spans 35 hours each week, offering valuable experience across two well-supported campuses.

In this role, you will split your time between Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary. At Buffalo Creek, you’ll collaborate within a school boasting dynamic leadership and focus on two low cognitive units as well as a behavior unit, delivering direct therapy to around 50 students and providing consultative support for an additional 10 students. At Prine, you’ll join an experienced SLP and a highly regarded SLPA, with a shared caseload of approximately 95 students housed within specialized PreK and ESE classes.

Key qualifications:

• Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license is required
• Experience in school settings, particularly in low cognitive, ASD, PK, or behavior units, is desirable
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group therapy services to meet student IEP goals
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations
• Collaborate with general and special education staff, administrators, and caregivers
• Monitor and document student progress
• Consult with staff for specialized cases
• Maintain timely, compliant records
