CNC Machine Operator

Swiss CNC Machine OperatorsWe are seeking qualified Swiss CNC Machine Operators to set up and operate Tsugami CNC Swiss lathes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will produce precision-machined parts, read and edit CNC programs, interpret blueprints and technical drawings, inspect finished parts, troubleshoot routine machine issues, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.All work must be performed onsite at the Valley City, Ohio facility.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate Tsugami CNC Swiss lathes.Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.Read, understand, format, and edit CNC programs as required.Inspect first pieces and obtain approval before beginning production.Perform in-process inspections according to established procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.Use precision measuring instruments, including:CalipersMicrometersThread gagesDepth micrometersMake general decisions regarding quality, tolerances, and sequence of operations.Troubleshoot and resolve routine and selected non-routine production or equipment issues.Complete secondary operations as required.Perform daily maintenance checks on assigned equipment.Properly care for tools, equipment, and materials.Identify and report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision.Maintain accurate and timely production records and reports.Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and internal teams.Maintain good housekeeping and follow all safety practices.Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.Complete assignments efficiently while meeting quality and customer expectations.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.1–2 years of related CNC machining experience and/or equivalent education and training.Previous Swiss CNC machine operating experience is required.Experience setting up and operating Tsugami CNC Swiss lathes is strongly preferred.Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Strong understanding of CNC programming, including program formatting and editing.Ability to use precision inspection gages and measuring equipment.Basic computer knowledge.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize work effectively.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and process efficiency.Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.Technical SkillsTsugami CNC Swiss lathesCNC machine setup and operationCNC program reading, formatting, and editingBlueprint and technical drawing interpretationPrecision measurement and inspectionCalipers and micrometersThread gages and depth micrometersCNC troubleshootingProcess improvementBasic computer skillsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.Frequent use of hands to operate machines and move materials.Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including temperature variations, elevated noise levels, and machine lubrication oils.Moderate physical activity while operating and overseeing CNC machinery.Occasional strenuous activity, including lifting, pushing, and pulling.Frequent bending and occasional squatting and kneeling to repair or observe machines.Occasional lifting of raw materials, pans of parts, and tooling.Benefits & Employee ProgramsShift premiumFull benefits packageSafe Harbor 401(k)Additional InformationWork Location: Valley City, OhioAll work is performed onsite.Pre-employment background check required.Pre-employment drug screening required.Pre-employment physical required.The company does not test for THC.Interviews are currently being conducted.Qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews.Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
