Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Renown, you will participate in a scheduled 40-hour work week, with flexibility for weekend shifts if required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans addressing their unique functional limitations and disabilities.
• Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding each patient's needs and progress, ensuring continuity of care.
• Implement treatment regimens based on clinical findings, educating patients and their families about their conditions and rehabilitation processes.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately, including treatment results, changes in discharge plans, and any necessary communication with physicians.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and collaborate on complex patient cases.
• Participate in leadership activities such as community outreach programs, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental marketing efforts.
• Manage departmental resources efficiently, ensuring productivity standards are met while maximizing patient benefits.
• Supervise support staff and contribute to their training, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient demographic at our Rehabilitation Center primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with a diverse group of patients, from young athletes to older adults, necessitating a tailored approach to therapy that respects individual backgrounds and cultural contexts.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills are essential for patient interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
