We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.The Senior Accountant applies advanced accounting knowledge to manage assigned accounting areas, lead components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and support financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. This role partners cross-functionally, supports internal and external audits, and contributes to continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of a global public company.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute assigned aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entry preparation, review, posting, and preparation of supporting schedulesPerform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and analyses while proactively identifying and resolving discrepanciesPartner with finance, operations, and other cross-functional teams to support business activities and resolve accounting mattersSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and explaining accounting conclusionsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiency while supporting system enhancements and automation initiativesAssist with interpretation and application of accounting policies and proceduresProvide guidance and informal mentoring to staff accountants as appropriateQualificationsEducation Requirements: Bachelor's degreeExperience Requirements: 4–6 years experience in relevant fieldTravel requirement: No travel requirementsRequired Knowledge and SkillsExperience working in a SOX-compliant environmentAbility to meet close and reporting deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departmentsAdvanced spreadsheet proficiency and experience with enterprise accounting or close management systemsAdaptability and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environmentStrong accounting judgment with a results-oriented and continuous improvement mindsetEnvironmental & Physical RequirementsOffice / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
