Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.**This temporary position is located in Rocky Mount, NC - Nash County.**Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay:** $24.41 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 141 Storage Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.This position involves working with families and providers to develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), work with multidisciplinary teams to determine families' needs for supports and services; conduct home visits, coordinate and facilitate services and transition planning, and participate in the authorization and monitoring of early intervention services.**Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.****Management Preferences*** Thorough knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques of the field of early childhood developmental disabilities and infant mental health, including assessments and development of comprehensive treatment plans.* Skill in developing and writing individualized family service plans* Ability to evaluate and document child progress and adjust the plan as needed* Ability to coordinate and instruct staff, family members and care providers in carrying out methods and techniques utilized in developmental disabilities and infant and child mental health and family studies field* Ability to establish rapport and relate to clients, families, community agencies and groups and a variety of service disciplines* Ability to manage time independently and develop and use methods of organization to facilitate compliance with all timelines, documentation requirements and procedural safeguards**Minimum Education and Experience**Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
