They stay with us because they find a fulfilling career, room to grow, and opportunities to excel.We are a team of home service experts who go the extra mile to ensure peak performance for your home's plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems.Full Job DescriptionWe are looking for a hands-on Controller to enhance financial performance and operational decision-making throughout the company by maximizing utilization of Quick Books accounting system and manage the Finance and Accounting operations including financial reporting, AR/AP, payroll, cash management and account reconciliations. This is a very strategic position reporting directly to the President.Responsibilities include serving as an internal resource to upper management on all financial matters, making appropriate recommendations and suggestions to produce a financial infrastructure for sustained growth. Build and maintain detailed financial reports to support short and long-term strategic planning. Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators. Develop deep understanding of industry trends as well as competitive pressures/opportunities. Presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to upper management team. Enhancing and implementing financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems. Tax return preparation assistance. Ensuring that state and federal income tax reporting is accurate and current. Building relationships with banks, customers, and vendors. Managing small staff of admin personnel. Overseeing daily financial transactions. Overseeing general ledger entries and reconciling GL accounts. Overseeing accurate and timely month-end close. Responsible for budgeting and daily cash flow management. May manage other areas of the company as needed.Must haves include a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent, minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the home service industry. Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements. Thorough attention to detail with on time delivery. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. Extensive quantitative and qualitative financial analysis. Strong communication skills; able to present complex information to leaders clearly. Ability to distill important numbers and convey a strategic view of performance. Highly organized and process driven with exceptional follow-through abilities. In-depth understanding of debit and credit accounting processes. Must be forward thinking have a desire to learn and grow professionally, which blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. Proven record of being proactive and implementing new processes and procedures. Ability to manage priorities. Strong analytical and accounting system acumen.Preferred skills and experience include experience with Service Titan, QuickBooks & ADP Payroll software packages. Business analytics experience. Home service industry experience.
