Key Responsibilities\n

• Actively assess client needs during initial consultations, providing tailored therapeutic support and developing individualized treatment plans that guide therapeutic goals.

• Deliver evidence-based counseling and support, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to help clients navigate life’s challenges.

• Advocate for clients to access essential community resources, ensuring they receive comprehensive support services beyond therapy, including housing, healthcare, and social services.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention, employing de-escalation techniques and developing safety plans to ensure client stability and safety during acute distress.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations to uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice.

• Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and other social workers, to ensure that clients receive holistic and coordinated care.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health, effective coping strategies, and self-care techniques to empower them toward better health management.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives to foster partnerships that enhance client resources and support networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve school-aged children and adolescents, addressing their unique emotional and behavioral needs within an educational framework. This role involves working closely with students, their families, and school personnel to facilitate interventions that promote academic and social success. Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
