Position Title: Marketing and Product Management Associate
Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing
Location: Cincinnati, OH

 

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, ranging from flameless ration heaters that give our U.S. Military a hot meal; innovative chemical response kits designed to detect and decontaminate chemical warfare agents; to nutritious hot food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. The Marketing Associate supports the development and execution of marketing activities for Luxfer Magtech Solutions products and markets. The role combines hands-on marketing execution with developing product management responsibilities. 

1. The Marketing Associate supports marketing campaigns, digital and social media, product and promotional materials, market research, trade shows, and product launches while developing working knowledge of Luxfer's products, customers, competitors, and markets. 

1. The role works collaboratively with Sales, the Sales Operations Analyst, R&D, Engineering, Operations, and other functions, drawing on their respective market, technical, and operational expertise to support product and marketing activities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns supporting existing products, new product launches, sales initiatives, and target markets. 

• Create, coordinate, and maintain marketing content across social media, websites, email, print, industry publications, and other appropriate channels. 

• Manage day-to-day company social media content, including scheduling, publishing, monitoring activity, and tracking basic performance. 

• Draft or assist with press releases, product announcements, customer communications, and other external marketing content. 

• Create or coordinate product artwork, advertisements, brochures, sell sheets, presentations, trade show materials, and other digital or printed collateral. 

• Work with internal resources and outside vendors to develop and update marketing materials consistent with company and product branding. 

• Partner with the Sales Operations Analyst to gather, organize, and evaluate information on customers, markets, competitors, competing products, pricing, industry trends, and market activity. 

• Use available sales, customer, market, and competitive information in collaboration with Sales and the Sales Operations Analyst to support marketing campaigns, product positioning, and identification of potential growth or product opportunities. 

• Develop working knowledge of Luxfer product lines and work with R&D and other technical resources to understand product capabilities, applications, specifications, and technical considerations necessary to support accurate marketing and product information. 

• Support product positioning, branding, pricing research, lifecycle activities, product improvements, and product refresh initiatives in collaboration with Sales, Sales Operations, R&D, and other appropriate subject-matter experts. 

• Support new product development and commercialization by helping gather customer and market information, coordinating product and marketing requirements, and assisting with launch activities. 

• Work with R&D and Engineering to translate technical product information and capabilities into clear, accurate customer-facing messaging and marketing materials. 

• Communicate and coordinate product information with Sales, R&D, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, and other functions as needed. 

• Assist with development of product messaging, sales tools, presentations, training materials, and other resources supporting product growth. 

• Assist with planning and execution of trade shows, customer events, industry events, and other market-facing activities, including booth materials, product displays, literature, and promotional materials. 

• Maintain organized and current product images, artwork, specifications, presentations, marketing materials, and other approved assets. 

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION 

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field preferred. 

• New graduates and candidates with 1–3 years of relevant marketing, product marketing, communications, or related experience will be considered. 

• Relevant internship, co-op, academic, freelance, or professional marketing experience may be considered toward experience requirements. 

• Experience with social media, marketing campaigns, content development, graphic design, market research, or product marketing preferred. 

• Experience with physical, manufactured, technical, or consumer products is beneficial but not required. 

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with graphic design, digital marketing, social media management, website content, or similar marketing tools. 

• Ability to learn technical product information and work with technical subject-matter experts to translate that information into clear customer-facing content. 

• Strong written communication, organization, attention to detail, creativity, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 

• Ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Sales Operations, R&D, Engineering, Operations, and other business functions. 

JOB AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments. 

• Ability to safely enter and work within manufacturing areas as required, including wearing required personal protective equipment. 

• Ability to attend customer meetings, trade shows, industry events, and other business activities as required. 

• Ability to travel occasionally for trade shows, customer events, training, or other business needs. 

• Ability to use computers and standard office equipment for extended periods. 

• Ability to move, transport, and set up marketing materials, product displays, trade show materials, and similar items as required. 

• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and other external contacts in person, electronically, and by telephone.
