Merchandise & Inventory Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Merchandise & Inventory Specialist for a 6 to 7+ month contract opportunity in Orlando, FL. This role supports merchandise operations, planning, allocation, purchase orders, vendor communication, inventory processes, and merchandise system activity within a fast-paced entertainment venue and retail environment.

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented merchandising, retail operations, inventory, or supply chain professional who enjoys working with data, systems, vendors, and cross-functional teams. The role offers exposure to corporate merchandise support processes, inventory coordination, purchase order management, and vendor issue resolution. You will be part of a collaborative in-office team environment where accuracy, communication, accountability, and problem-solving are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, maintain, and update new and replenishment purchase orders to support merchandise planning and inventory needs.
- Set up and maintain vendor information for auto-replenishment programs and ongoing merchandise support activities.
- Communicate with vendors and internal park teams regarding shipping schedules, deadlines, order updates, and potential delays.
- Validate UPC information within ordering, ticketing, and merchandise system processes.
- Process inventory transfers and assist with inventory activities, tracking, and related documentation.
- Research and help resolve accounts payable, goods receipt, invoice review, and vendor discrepancy issues.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $17 to $21 per hour.
- Contract length: Long-term temporary
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Work arrangement: 100% in office in Orlando, FL.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage purchase order creation, updates, tracking, and replenishment support.
- Coordinate vendor communication, shipping updates, and merchandise system data accuracy.
- Support inventory transfers, invoice review, goods receipt research, and discrepancy resolution.
- Assist merchandise planning, allocation, and corporate merchandise support teams with daily operational needs.

- High School Diploma required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred in retail, merchandising, inventory management, supply chain operations, purchase order support, or vendor coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and support timely issue resolution.
- Strong communication, customer service, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, in-office environment.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, initiative, accountability, and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Experience supporting auto-replenishment programs, purchase orders, UPC validation, invoice review, goods receipts, or merchandise system processes.
- Background in entertainment venues, theme parks, theatres, retail operations, merchandising, or consumer products environments.
