Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in the ICU, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and unit staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing and ancillary personnel across multiple levels, using professional judgment and supervisory discretion.
- Ensure delivery of cost-effective, high-quality patient care that supports positive outcomes and high patient safety.
- Assess the patient experience on the unit and take steps to improve quality and satisfaction.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination, maintaining compliance with standards and policies.
- Lead by example in regulatory compliance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice within the unit.

Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in California (or eligibility, as applicable).
- ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts in a hospital ICU setting.
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) with a focus on acute care; leadership experience in a nursing unit is a plus.
