Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)

Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina 27534
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Direct Hire
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: $33.00–$54.45 per hour
Night Shift Differential: Additional $6.00/hour
Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 (with a 2-year commitment)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical unit in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensure patient safety and positive clinical outcomes.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience . Previous Charge Nurse experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care.
• Monitor patient health and promptly report changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience .
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• NIHSS certification.
• CPI-A certification, as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing school.
• Previous Charge Nurse experience is highly preferred.
• Experience caring for adult patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay of $33.00–$54.45, based on experience and qualifications.
• Additional $6.00/hour night shift differential.
• Weekend differential of $10.00/hour when applicable.
• Holiday differential of 50% of the base hourly rate when applicable.
• Eligible part-time employees may receive an additional 20% Paid-in-Lieu-of-Benefits (PLB) differential, subject to employer policies.
• Relocation assistance of $2,500–$10,000 based on distance, with a 2-year commitment.
• Eligible nurses may qualify for retention incentives of up to $40,000 over four years, subject to program terms.
