Seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a unique contract opportunity supporting a medically fragile student in a school environment. This position focuses on one-on-one care and offers consistent Wednesday shifts from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, with early release days ending at 12:10 pm. The assignment runs from now until June 11, with specific coverage dates throughout the academic year.

As an LPN in this environment, you will play an essential role in ensuring a safe and supportive setting for your student, collaborating with school staff and fostering a positive educational experience.

Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in Connecticut
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Professional demeanor and approach to student care

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing support to a medically fragile student
• Administer medications or treatments as prescribed
• Monitor student’s health status and respond promptly to medical needs
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of care provided
• Collaborate with teachers, health services, and family members
• Ensure student’s health and safety during all school activities and transitions
