Functional Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to enhance our dynamic team at our Orthopedic Outpatient Office located in picturesque Scotts Valley, California. In this full-time position, you will be engaged in helping patients recover their mobility and improve their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs. Work Environment

The rehabilitation facility in Scotts Valley boasts a modern, well-equipped treatment area that accommodates a range of therapeutic modalities. As you work onsite Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will engage in a supportive and collaborative environment where teamwork is valued. You'll interact closely with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to provide cohesive care that meets the diverse needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of incoming patients to identify physical limitations and devise individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals.
• Guide and motivate 1 to 2 patients each hour through targeted rehabilitation exercises and therapeutic techniques, ensuring each session is effective and focused.
• Employ evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to enhance patient mobility and reduce pain, utilizing various techniques such as manual therapy, functional training, and modalities as needed.
• Regularly assess patient progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the WebPT system, facilitating seamless communication among healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, wellness, and self-management strategies to foster independence and confidence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, trauma, and surgical procedures. Our clients range from athletes looking to return to their sport to older adults aiming to regain their functional mobility. Each patient will benefit from your tailored approach to rehabilitation, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Hold an active California Physical Therapist license or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Demonstrated ability to apply strong clinical reasoning skills and a hands-on approach in therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to positively engage and motivate patients.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually , in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, ensuring you have the coverage you need.
