Accounting Shared Services Operations Manager

As part of this initiative, they are modernizing legacy accounting operations, removing operational bottlenecks, and scaling best-in-class shared services workflows.

As the Accounting Operations Manager, you will step into a pivotal leadership role overseeing one of three dedicated functional teams (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Direct Billing). You will partner directly with a Senior Technical Accounting Analyst (your technical SME and right-hand person) to steer team performance, optimize workflows, and build an efficient, future-ready accounting operations function. Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and coach an 8–12 person team of Accounting Operations Specialists. Set clear individual and team goals, manage performance, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

• Workflow Management & Prioritization: Direct daily execution, assign work streams based on expertise, optimize task allocation, and actively clear operational bottlenecks in a high-volume environment.

• Process Improvement Partnership: Partner closely with your Senior Technical Analyst to evaluate manual accounting workflows, implement root-cause solutions, and strengthen controls and efficiencies.

• KPI & Metric Oversight: Monitor team output against operational targets and KPIs, particularly during high-volume month-end close cycles.

• Global Collaboration & Escalation: Serve as the primary operational SME and escalation point, partnering daily with internal stakeholders across global business units and offshore support teams.
