Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, combined with access to an outpatient office for in-person sessions as needed. Our team operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., promoting a balanced work-life integration and encouraging a supportive and collaborative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate directly with clients to design and implement personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and preferences.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment and recovery.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their journeys towards mental wellness.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans when necessary to ensure optimal care.
\n
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Stay abreast of emerging research and evidence in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic practices and improve client outcomes.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Participate in case consultations, attend team meetings, and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on clients dealing with mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you will offer support to specific groups, including individuals facing homelessness, refugees seeking assistance, and victims of domestic abuse. Your work will be instrumental in guiding these individuals as they navigate their mental health challenges and work towards asylum.

Qualifications\n

• Required: A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences.

• Proficient organizational and time-management skills to manage caseload and administrative tasks efficiently.
