Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with accounting experience, strong analytical skills and high attention to detail. A great opportunity to join a fun team with variety in the job role!
The salary range for this position is $55k-75k.
The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger entries
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Book monthly rebate accruals and income allocations for vendors
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards
- Conduct financial audits and support external auditors
- Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll processing
- Analyze financial information to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
The Accountant will possess the following:
- Associate's degree in accounting or closely related field preferred
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- High detail of attention to detail
- CPA preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
