Dynamic Probate firm seeks an experienced full-time Associate Attorney to assist with contested and uncontested matters in their Farmington Hills office.

The Associate will provide high-quality legal services in both contested and uncontested probate administration, trust and estate matters, guardianships, and conservatorships. The ideal candidate will thrive in a supportive, fast-paced environment where collaboration, attention to detail, and exceptional client care are at the heart of everything the firm does.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and otherwise handle probate litigation, estate/trust administration, and other contested matters from inception through final disposition.
• Conduct research and draft pleadings, petitions, motions, etc.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and provide support while managing independent matters.
• Develop strategies for assigned matters.
• Communicate with clients in a clear and timely manner.

Qualifications :

• Must have 2–5+ years of relevant experience (probate, trusts, estates, or litigation strongly preferred). Prior experience with contested probate matters preferred!
• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
• Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar or ability to become licensed.
• Ability to manage cases from inception through trial, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs; managing discovery; taking and defending depositions; and conducting legal research, analysis, and writing.
• Communication skills are crucial for interacting with clients, witnesses, and third parties in this fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong organization skills to maintain accurate records and keeping files organized is essential as you assist in your own matters and the matters of the attorneys you will be assisting.
• Meticulous attention to detail is key to all aspects of success in this position (and all others) at the firm.
• An ongoing dedication to personal responsibility, personal accountability, and the ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively is necessary for continued employment at the firm.
