Work Environment\n

This position is uniquely structured for a remote work environment, allowing flexibility and creativity in how you conduct sessions. Our telehealth facility is equipped with the latest technological tools to facilitate effective therapy and client interaction. Friday through Sunday, we are available from 7 am to 10 pm, offering clients ample opportunity to access services that fit within their schedule. As a mental health counselor, you will primarily provide care through virtual platforms, ensuring that client confidentiality and support are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate each patient's trauma history and determine suitable treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans with a primary focus on trauma recovery and building resilience through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Provide therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group settings.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of client well-being.

• Respond to crisis situations with immediate intervention and support, assisting clients in trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies to foster a greater understanding of mental health resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards of practice.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development around trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay informed about new research and advancements in trauma therapy and incorporate these findings into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMHC in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
