Work Environment

The position is located on-site at our facility in Hampton, Virginia, where you will work alongside a dedicated team that includes two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). You will typically work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while providing comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the specific needs and goals of each patient, ensuring tailored treatment.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, prioritizing quality over quantity in all therapy sessions.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to develop and implement effective treatment plans, integrating a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Deliver hands-on therapy and utilize advanced manual therapy skills to promote healing and mobility.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs, ensuring they cater to individual patient requirements.
• Encourage patients' active involvement in their rehabilitation while motivating them to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Assess treatment effects and monitor patient progress through regular evaluations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress, ensuring compliance with clinic standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to create comprehensive care strategies.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrate strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in devising effective exercise routines tailored to rehabilitation needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, and the ability to utilize it effectively for documentation and patient care management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes will be a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill set.
