Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility, where you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient goals and physical therapy needs through comprehensive evaluations and effective communication.
• Manage a caseload of patients, providing each individual with one-on-one therapy sessions designed for optimal engagement and effective treatment.
• Implement evidence-based treatment plans using a variety of techniques, promoting recovery and rehabilitation from orthopedic conditions.
• Educate patients and provide hands-on therapy aimed at improving mobility, pain management, and musculoskeletal function.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment programs, ensuring they understand their role and the importance of consistency in therapy.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation and open lines of communication.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance seeking recovery from various orthopedic conditions ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to sports injuries. You will have the opportunity to design and implement personalized fitness and wellness programs that cater specifically to their needs, helping to promote active lifestyles and long-term health.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills complemented by an understanding of biomechanics.
• Competence in developing individualized exercise programs tailored to patient-specific goals.
• Familiarity and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Software, such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, with knowledge of diverse treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and inspire confidence in the treatment process.
• Ability to integrate patient feedback into the rehabilitation process for optimal results.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
