Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients and team members. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including history-taking, physical assessments, and documentation of findings to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Engage in open and sensitive discussions with patients and their families about evaluation results and collaboratively set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement established treatment protocols and modify them as necessary to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Stay in communication with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, documenting any changes in patient conditions and adjusting care strategies accordingly.
• Oversee discharge planning and establish effective follow-up care to facilitate continued recovery post-therapy.
• Exhibit strong time management skills by adhering to productivity metrics and supporting clinic marketing initiatives.
• Ensure that departmental objectives align with regulatory standards and contribute positively to the overall goals of Powerback Clinic.
• Engage in professional development through continuous learning and may serve as a clinical instructor for students in training.
• Champion a supportive, compassionate environment that recognizes and addresses potential barriers to care for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will work primarily with patients recovering from traumatic injuries, such as fractures, ligament injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. You will play a crucial role in their recovery journey by providing tailored therapeutic interventions and emotional support throughout their treatment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; graduation from an accredited physical therapy school required.
• State licensure in Virginia to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a physical therapy setting is advantageous, we welcome new graduates who are eager to apply their training and grow within our robust clinical environment. Previous exposure to outpatient care or orthopedic rehabilitation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
