Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Newport News, Virginia. Our clinic adopts a collaborative approach, fostering a supportive culture where team members work together to optimize patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by healthcare providers to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Create and implement evidence-based treatment interventions designed to address patient needs in a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service by ensuring all patients feel valued and supported throughout their treatment journey.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes through shared knowledge and evidence-based care solutions.
• Administer skilled therapeutic services both within the clinic and at patients' homes, employing a range of techniques that are consistent with the physician's plan of care.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers on care practices and injury prevention strategies to empower them in their recovery.
• Meet and strive to exceed utilization goals while contributing to overall business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population that spans various demographics and therapeutic needs. You will address cases ranging from post-operative orthopedic conditions to developmental challenges in pediatrics, and rehabilitation for neurological deficits, ensuring each individual receives the specific care they need. Your contribution will not only aid in their physical recovery but also support their emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Current Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in word processing and electronic health records.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with patients to help them achieve their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

While new graduates are welcome, we prefer candidates with prior experience in outpatient settings, emphasizing the importance of direct patient care. Experience in specific areas, such as sports medicine or pediatrics, is highly appreciated, as it aligns with our diverse patient demographics.

Compensation and Benefits
