Work Environment

This full-time position requires an onsite presence, allowing you to interact closely with patients within our modern rehabilitative facility. You will be part of a dynamic team composed of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy. Your work hours will typically be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various techniques to enhance patient recovery.
• Manage a patient load by scheduling and providing one-on-one therapy sessions, maintaining efficiency while ensuring personalized care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions to address patients' mobility challenges effectively.
• Actively monitor and assess progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment methods, and progress in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, including familiarity with WebPT.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
• Motivate patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals, promoting compliance with post-therapy exercise and wellness regimens.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. As an integral member of the clinic, you will focus on providing top-tier care, minimizing the reliance on medications and exploring efficacious non-surgical alternatives. Your role is essential in empowering patients to overcome their physical limitations and regain their independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license to practice in Virginia, with no disciplinary actions or board actions noted.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques, with the ability to effectively translate these skills into patient recovery strategies.
• Proficiency in developing and executing personalized exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Demonstrated experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, showcasing an adeptness in managing complex patient needs.
• Experience in adherence to and implementation of evidence-based physical therapy practices is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
