Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, utilizing standardized evaluation tools to determine their physical condition and therapy needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific orthopedic conditions, ensuring alignment with best practices in physical therapy.

• Implement therapeutic interventions, including supervised active and passive exercises, modality applications, and neuromuscular re-education, directed at restoring function and mobility.

• Guide patients in their rehabilitation, providing instruction on exercises for balance, gait training, and activities of daily living, tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols and home exercise programs, empowering them to play an active role in their recovery.

• Maintain open communication with other healthcare providers within the facility to ensure coordinated care and continuous assessment of patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse patient demographic seeking rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain issues, and mobility impairment. Our facility places a strong emphasis on tailored care plans that adapt to individual patient needs, optimizing recovery strategies and maximizing patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
