Work Environment

This full-time position requires your presence onsite at our state-of-the-art outpatient office. You will join a supportive team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share a commitment to delivering high-quality care. Your typical work hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing work-life balance while focusing on patient advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to establish personalized treatment goals and tailor interventions accordingly.
• Manage a caseload effectively by maintaining a steady capacity of one patient per hour, ensuring high levels of individualized attention and care.
• Utilize various evidence-based modalities and treatment techniques to develop comprehensive care plans that maximize patient recovery.
• Provide cost-effective treatment options that prioritize non-surgical alternatives and sedation minimization during rehabilitation, fostering independence and functionality.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout the recovery process, employing effective communication, and continuous feedback to optimize their treatment outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing patient evaluations, closely monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Document all interactions and treatment interventions in compliance with legal and organizational standards, ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to facilitate coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, including athletes, post-operative individuals, and those recovering from musculoskeletal injuries. By tailoring fitness and wellness programs to individual needs, you will play a crucial role in restoring functionality and promoting a healthy lifestyle through strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, without any instances of disciplinary action.
• Extensive knowledge and proven skills in orthopedic treatment methodologies and manual therapy techniques.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly with systems like WebPT, to streamline patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly within an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing exercise programs specific to patients' rehabilitation needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, reflecting your skills and experience.
