Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, focusing on providing therapy in the comfort of our clients' homes across Newport News. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, restoring muscle function, and maximizing clients' performance capabilities.
• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the appropriate application of treatment plans and facilitate optimal patient care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities using advanced diagnostic techniques, including tests of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capacity.
• Assess home environments for rehabilitation purposes and make recommendations that enhance client independence.
• Deliver prescribed therapy services as directed by the client's physician, including manual therapeutic exercises and guidance on functional activities.
• Provide expertise in administering traction, massage, and various therapeutic treatments utilizing physical agents.
• Fit, evaluate, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, communicating necessary modifications to the physician.
• Engage collaboratively in care plan development, adjustments, and interdisciplinary case discussions.
• Record and monitor changes in clients' conditions, recommending necessary updates to the treatment strategy in consultation with physicians and case managers.
• Prepare and maintain clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring thorough records for all patients.
• Instruct clients and families on the effective use and care of therapeutic devices, ensuring they are equipped to support the rehabilitation process.
• Supervise and train Physical Therapy Assistants as needed, complying with state regulations to maintain high standards of care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
